How much hotel soap gets wasted every year, in the form of small bars that are used once, then discarded? We don’t have the precise answer, but It’s.A. Lot.
So much better to travel with your own (as we have done for aeons, actually, thanks to a small soap tin acquired years ago, abroad). But taking your own favourite bar on the road just got a lot easier, thanks to these brilliant new offerings from Little Soap Company – aluminium tins in which to slip your soap, before stashing in your travel kit. (Do that, and it’s quite astonishing how long you can make a bar last – feeling extremely eco-virtuous every time you open the tin for an on-the-go wash.)
There are two sizes, each with a choice of branding: either Eco Warrior, or Little Soap Company. The rectangular tin fits the ‘normal; size bars, while the smaller round tin fits the 50g travel sizes of their soaps – of which there’s now a huge range to explore, here.
There’s a drainage layer inside, to stop your soap going soft – but we still like to dry a bar slightly on a towel, before slipping inside a storage tin.
Definitely the perfect choice for our Weekend Steal - but we love how much waste this will save, as a knock-on effect.
