Fab Find of the Week: Granado Exuberance Hand Cream Trio

Having a little sniff around Covent Garden – a lovely thing to do, on a sunny afternoon – we visited for the first time the new Granado boutique on (aptly enough) Floral Street.

What a treat for the senses. If you don’t know them, Granado is a Brazilian brand which landed in the UK around three years ago, and has really made a colourful, fragrant splash in the world of fragrance and bodycare. (We highlighted them as a previous Fab Find of the Week, here.) There are now a couple of other Granado boutiques – at Ham Yard Hotel, and on Chelsea’s King’s Road – and they all offer the same immersive sensorial experience, alive with colour and scent.

The products are good value – but we are especially taken right now with this Granado Exuberance Hand Cream Trio, featuring a really decent 50g (handbag-worthy) size of their luscious yet not greasy hand creams, in three different and exotic scents.

Woody-floral-fruity Folia has zesty notes of bergamot, nutmeg and mandarin, warm touches of osmanthus and orange blossom, settling on the skin to creamy sandalwood, vanilla and musk.

Inspired by the rainforest, Expedição blends black pepper, lemon, bergamot, iris, incense and pine, on a foundation of amber, sandalwood and cedar. (Gorgeous!)

And Nostalgia, as the name suggests, has a slightly vintage feel – a sophisticated floral-woody-musk creation opening with mandarin, bergamot and pink pepper, with orange blossom, rose and lily at the heart. And for depth and character, there’s Cashmeran, musk and amber.

Actually, the hand creams are a great way to try the fragrances themselves, before springing for a (also-not-bank-breaking) bottle of the perfumes these luscious creams ‘match’.

And your hands will definitely thank you for slathering of sweet almond and grapeseed oils, açai and vitamin E, all making for a super-softening, scented experience.

And we say: ‘Viva Granado!’
