Since we first got our – um – hands on Tam Mason’s products, we’ve been fully signed-up members of tje fan club for this stylish brand’s skin-nurturing offerings. In fact, Jo has described the Tam Mason Nourishing Hand Oil – which features in this prize, albeit with a different scent – as ‘a veritable miracle-worker.’ (You can read the verdict of our Beauty Bible testers, here; it scooped ‘Best Natural’ in the Hand Care category.)
As with all the ramge, the Hand Oil is 100% natural, featuring softening shea butter and oat oils, vitamin E to condition, plus kiwi seed oil to moisturise. The concept of a hand oil might seem strange to you, but here’s the deal: you apply a few drops to the back of your hand and gently massage into skin (rather than slather all over, NB). It truly is nourishing, yet doesn’t leave hands greasy – and we love to massage it into nails and cuticles, too. The oil that is exclusively featured in the Tam Mason Nourishing Hand Care Gift Box prize, meanwhile, is infused with glorious, uplifting neroli rather than the black pepper, lavender and verbena oil essential oils that fragrance in the Award-winner. And you know what? We like this even better.
What we love is to use the oil after scrubbing hands with the other treat in the prize, the bestselling Bergamot & Blood Orange Hand Scrub (normally £20 for 150g), which is presented on a turned wooden dish, with a wooden spoon for dispensing. It leaves hands silky, smooth, cleansed – and frankly, the Nourishing Hand Oil is the icing on the cake. (But then… we love icing, we love cake – so why not?)
For background, Tam combined a degree in textile design and a successful career in marketing with a passion for and knowledge of natural and organic ingredients, coming up with a brand that looks great, smells amazing and is astonishingly effective.
