Beauty Bible Loves... Leighton Denny Angel collection

Supermanicurist Leighton Denny really is great at sprinkling fairydust on fingertips. His shimmery, glimmery polishes are durable, glide on super-smoothly – and we love the way that they flatter fingertips, just as pearls flatter and illuminate a face.

So, Leighton’s Angel collection just landed on our desks and a prettier start to an Autumn of nail-painting, it’s hard to imagine.

There are three angelic polishes: Angel Pearl (an opaque gleaming polish, JUST like a real pearl), Angel Blush (a soft beige-rose pearl), and Angel Dust, a sheer polish with the teensiest glittery particles which can be used to add extra sparkle factor. Any or all of these can be used individually, or layered for customised effects (Jo is currently wearing Angel Pearl over Angel Blush, and the result is a light gold).

Also pictured is Super Wings, a longstanding favourite that we’ve written about before, which is more of a butterfly wings effect, becoming almost turquoise when you flutter your fingers around. It’s not strictly part of the Angel set, but you can use it with any of the other polishes for a customised effect.

There’ll probably come a moment this autumn when we come over all Rouge Noir. But for now, it’s all about fairy nails.
