Beauty Bible Loves… Hildun Beauty Luxe Eyeshadow Quads

We truly don’t often get excited about ‘party make-up’. But we are new converts to Hildun Beauty (the brand founded by a fellow beauty editor, Suzy Griffin Dunne), and – well, gosh, these are great value for the price, as well as being rather showstoppingly gorgeous.

So: two palettes to choose from – one perhaps a little cooler, one a bit warmer, but we think that they’d both work across both warm and cool skintones.

Naked Diamonds showcases two mattes – brilliant and definitely on-Pantone-trend mocha shade (Treacle), alongside a chocolate brown (it’s actually called Cacao) – which are accented by properly shimmery gold and copper.

Mythical Romance offers a great matte brown (Mulberry), while Haze is a neutral clay tone – ‘with a very subtle lilac undertone’, as they put it, complemented by two cool shimmers. Both palettes offer a good colour pay-off that’s buildable, and the textures of the mattes are super-super-smooth. 

Thing is, there are shades in here we’d use year-round. Maybe not the sparkling ones, but the neutrals are brilliant, and we’re always on the hunt for neutrals that can be worn 365 days a year. The bonus of this is that with a touch of a finger in those shimmers, applied to lids and brows, and you can go from desk to disco in a flash. (Our idea of party prep, frankly.)
