A very Merry Christmas to you – and to the young people at Centrepoint

We’d like to take this opportunity to wish you ALL a wonderful (imminent) break, and a happy and healthy New Year.

We’re signing off from lunchtime tomorrow (20th) until Monday 6th January 2025, and are looking forward to a well-earned lie-down before a hectic spring, writing a new book!

On Christmas morning, though, we will once again be beaming at the thought of hundreds of young people at the homelessness charity Centrepoint’s residences, across the country. Because we are absolutely DELIGHTED to have helped co-ordinate hundreds and hundreds of gifts, for young men and young women, at the charity’s HQ in Aldgate, where last Thursday we jam-packed 300 bags with the goodies you can see above – together with 300 fragrant and grooming gifts for the young men in Centrepoint’s projects. In many cases, these will be the only gifts that these young people will receive.

We’ve been doing this for 24 Christmases (gosh!), but we couldn’t do it without the amazing support of the beauty brands who responded to our shout-out for product donations, as well as those who donated via our fellow ‘elves’ (Sharron Lowe, who originally set this initiative up with Jo; Sharon Whiting of Aspects Beauty; Jane Cunningham (British Beauty Blogger); Kelly Marks and the team at Pure PR; Kirsty Lewis (who brought her team); Nicola de Burlet and Sarah Duguid of Studio PR).
