Beauty Bible Loves... Carrière Frères La Rose Aime la Menthe
The name of this candle translates as ‘rose loves mint’. And we love the fragrant compatibility of those two ingredients, a fresh scent that seems perfect for a time of year when we’re opening windows (at least on some days), and cleaning away cobwebs that become obvious when shafts of sunlight make their way into the house.
In fact, ‘cleaning away the cobwebs’ is a really good way to describe this scent. It has the softness of rose, breezed through with a tingle of mint. Carrière Frères – a French heritage candle range whose home fragrance collection is now available in the UK – originally introduced this as a limited edition, and we’re just so pleased to see it in the permanent collection.
The fragrance is available as a candle, diffuser (quite a pretty diffuser that we’d definitely give house room to, which is not always the case), but also these palets (French word), which are basically made of wax that has been infused with the fragrance (and in this case, also rosebuds), and which you hang in your wardrobe.
And we promise: your clothes will love rose and mint, too.
