Beauty Bible Loves... Angela Flanders French Moth Herbs Spray

Last week we paid a little visit to Angela Flanders, a wonderful British perfumery on Columbia Road (which, like most of that market, is only open on weekends). We had a lovely catch-up with Kate Evans, late founder, and a fragrant mooch around the shuttered boutique – it was a Friday, but she snuck us in (by pre-arrangement).

This Angela Flanders boutique is a place every perfume-lover needs to make a pilgrimage to, actually. And Kate was on a complete high, having the previous night been given ‘Best Independent Fragrance’ in the Fragrance Foundation Awards 2023, for Angela Flanders Leather Rosa – a darkly smoochy, sultry, nuzzleable play on leather, softened by rose, which totally deserved its gong, in our opinion.

But since we are finally starting to think about packing away our winter clothes and getting out the summer frocks, the product that really caught our eye was this for tackling moths: an insect deterrent spray that smells just fab, if (like us) you like camphoraceous herbal scents. The blend features tansy, mint, lavender, artemisia, cloves and rue, and can be spritzed into cupboards or drawers. (We will also be misting it onto jumpers, then allowing the scent to diffuse before stowing them in plastic bags, away from the little winged blighters).
