Beauty Bible Weekend Steal: Wisdom Re:new oral care
Pat on the back, here, for WISDOM. Because as we spotted on a mooch in Boots this week, they have brought out a sustainably-focused range of oral care products, which match their usual quality, but tread – or perhaps brush – a little more lightly on the planet.
At home, we’re electric toothbrush devotees – nothing like it for keeping gum disease at bay. But when travelling more lightly, we like a ‘normal’ toothbrush – and have now upgraded to these. We can appreciate the work that went into this range, and the technology deployed, not to mention the fact there is NO compromise on performance, compared to their usual products.
So…
Wisdom Re:new Bamboo Medium Toothbrush – this has a 100% natural, biodegradeable (over time) handle, with plant-based filaments (from ‘sustainable castor oil’) making up the bristle element.
Wisdom Re:new Clean Toothbrush Medium – made of 100% recycled plastic, lightweight, brilliant. (Currently only available in a Medium toothbrush, but if it’s a success, hopefully the range will grow.)
Wisdom Re:new Floss Harps – again, recycled handles plus extra-strong floss, for accessing between teeth. (Like your dentist tells you to.)
Wisdom Re:new Interdental Brushes – these come in different sizes, and are perfect for accessing between teeth. (Like your dentist tells you to.) We have made these part of our daily routine and honestly, they’re the best for keeping gums healthy.
Wisdom Re:new Dental Floss – 100% plant-based, with a vegan wax coating and a zingy mint flavour. The downside of this is that it doesn’t (obviously) come in a pplastic outer, and so it’s really only suitable for use at home – but we’re going to have a go at using it to refill another existing floss packet, and see how we get on.
All outer packaging is 100% recycled and recyclable. Not an atom of plastic in sight. (And compare that with the rest of the oral care fixture, next time you’re shopping for a toothbrush. It’s pretty shocking, actually.)
