Beauty Bible Weekend Steal: Tisserand Rosemary Hair Oil

There’s a reason why we’ve been a bit hair-centric with our recent Weekend Steals… because this is a truly dreadful time of year for the condition of our locks.

Blame central heating. And hats, which rub the hair cuticle up the wrong way and make it look frizzy and dull. (Need hats, at the moment., though!) Well, this excellent find goes a long way to undoing the dessicating effect of the heating, while smoothing those rough hair cuticles back into place beautifully.

Tisserand Rosemary Hair Oil is a properly deep treatment. You massage into hair and leave it for 30 minutes before shampooing and conditioning at normal. Our recommendation is to comb through with the widest-toothed comb you can get your hands on (NOT a brush, and NOT a Tangle Teezer), and wrap it in a towel.

Longer is always better with these treatments, though, so you could wrap a towel over your pillow to protect it, and sleep with the oil on, too. (We’ve often thought that someone should launch a towelling pillowcase, for hair treatments!)

The formula blends sweet almond, sunflower and nigella seed oil, a.k.a. black cumin, something of a wonder oil when applied both externally or taken as a supplement (following instructions, of course – and we’re NOT suggesting drinking this!) Fmously strengthening, rosemary oil adds its lovely, almost pine-y aroma to the oil itself.
