Beauty Bible Weekend Steal: MY MOOD nail polishes

It isn’t every day that a new nail polish brand lands, fully-formed on our desks – never mind one as affordable (and really rather good) as this. At just a fiver, MY MOOD polishes really ARE a steal, with a quality that belies the price. Four days in, NO CHIPPING OR WEAR!

But when we dig a little deeper, we discover they’re from the team at Nails.Inc, which says everything we need to know about quality.

If you’re into ‘festival nails’, there’s lots here for you – holographic glitters, neons, even shapes like stars, suspended in a clear polish. But if you’re a fan of neutral, lower-key nails, MY MOOD has plenty to tempt you, too.

Jo, for instance, is very taken with the Glow with the Flow duo: soft gold Smiley, like ‘pearls for the nails’, but with a very slight rose gold vibe. The second polish in the duo, however, is a veritable superstar: a clear, slightly pink-tinted polish with more than a hint of the Dior Nail Glow about it, enhancing the natural colour of your nails while adding a protective shine.

Being a fan of pearlised nails, Soul – pictured below – also pushes Jo’s buttons. And you’ve also got to love a brand which markets a nail duo by the name ‘Weirdos Welcome’, haven’t you? (A perfect pillarbox red and a lilac-y pink.)

Considering the price, the durability is impressive (although we do always, of course, recommend using a base and a top coat). A good few days’ wear before chipping.
