Treatments we love: Intraceuticals signature facials

Remember the name – Intraceuticals.  Now think 'hydration'…Because this Australian-based skincare company swears that what it terms ‘hydrodynamic skincare’ is the answer to glowing radiant skin. And a bunch of A-listers, including Kim Kardashian, Channing Tatum, Miley Cyrus and the Fergie from The Black Eyed Peas (also, would you believe, Justin Timberlake) have openly professed their allegiance.

Intraceuticals claims to be the gold standard for red carpet complexions and when Sarah shimmied out from a facial at Dr. Rita Rakus clinic (a haven of beautifying BTW), she did rather feel as if the world was her, um, Oscar.

So – after thorough cleansing, this morphs into a facial with sound effects: short gentle whoosh, whooosh, whoooosh… That’s down to the puffs of oxygen under pressure, which helps deliver the proprietary serum – positively pullulating with skin-cherishing hyaluronic acid, vitamins, peptides and botanicals – deep into the skin.

There are four variations on the facial theme – the first three take 60 minutes and the fourth 30 minutes:

Rejuvenate, which promotes natural collagen and elastin production to improve skin texture and help smooth the look fine lines and wrinkles.

Opulence —a botanical brightener that helps reduce hyperpigmentation and lighten dark spots, uneven skin tone and imperfections for a refreshed, radiant appearance

Clarity—helps to visibly improve the appearance of redness and irritation for blemish prone skin while delivering added anti-aging benefits.

Atoxelene—targets expression lines and wrinkles while re-firming and re-filling under the eye and contouring lips.

Then there’s a fifth option called Boosters – again 60 minutes, which provides a bespoke approach with different serums.

And the cost? Well, that is real A-list rating at £300.  So you might want to start feeding your piggy bank…
