Kiss the Moon Summer Ready Feet Set
Oh, how we were looking forward to an ACTUAL pedicure. But for whatever reason, in their ‘wisdom’, that’s been banjaxed by the government.
This, however, has been helping our feet stay happy for the past few weeks – and we guess it will be doing just that for a few more. (We’ll need to replenish the salt sachets, as the ones which came with this set are all gone – but the DREAM Night Cream for Feet on its own is fabuleux).
Kiss the Moon has been a much-loved beauty name for those of us at Beauty Bible for a while now, and scooped a Beauty Bible Award or two over the years. The range was founded by Jo Foster, who left a very high-powered corporate job in advertising (Saatchi & Saatchi) to found a brand that helped us to sleep better. She found that her fast-paced lifestyle was impacting on her ability to get a good night’s sleep was impacting on her health and wellbeing, which in turn gave her the idea for Kiss the Moon.
The range started life as a line-up of sleep-beckoning products, expanding into other bath and skincare treats – and actually, this kit is designed to nourish and soften feet at bedtime and overnight.
We’re a big fan of pre-bath foot soaks, and add either the GLOW Bedtime Bath Salts or the DREAM Bedtime Bath Salts to a washing-up bowl of hot water, positioned on a towel on the bed, for a 10-15-minute soak. (They both feature a blend of Epsom and Dead Sea salts, with GLOW offering a blissful aromatherapeutic scent of orange and geranium, and DREAM infused with lavender and bergamot.)
Then it’s time for the heavenly, softening slather, luscious with shea butter and a suitably dreamy blend of cedarwood, lavender, bergamot and chamomile to delight your senses. By morning, feet really are baby-soft – and we love the ritual of a pre-bedtime massage with cream, as a vital part of drifting towards sleep. It’s v-e-r-y rich, yes – but not tacky.
We’ll still be running, not walking, to bag a pedicure as soon as we’re able – but we think our foot professional will be impressed by the way our hooves are anything but rhino-like, when we get there.
