Fab Find of the Week: Wildsmith Skin The Weekender

Bingo!

It’s sooooo satisfying when a travel kit comes along that features genuine favourite products, every item of which will be used.

Featuring several Beauty Bible Award-winning products from recent years, Wildsmith Skin The Weekender promises just that – and also showcases a couple of products that Jo fell in love with during her recent visit to The Bothy, the spa at Heckfield Place; she mentions the Hand and Body Wash and Hand and Body Lotion in review here). Also featured: the heaven-scented, silkifying, botanically-based, sulphate-free Wildsmith Skin Shampoo and Conditioner (50ml sizes of each).

Add to that Award-winning Active Repair Nourishing Cleansing Balm and Active Repair Copper Peptide Cream, in 15ml sizes – and that really is your weekend away, sorted. (We figure products will last quite a bit longer than that, but it probably depends how often you wash your hair…)

All the products, of course, feature the signature botanical/aromatic scent which so has so seduced our testers and us, down the years of trialling Wildsmith Skin’s creations – and on an eco-note, they’re all packaged in a PCR resin created from plastics that would otherwise have gone to landfill.

In a lovely white fabric drawstring bag – which will you’ll definitely give a second life to – the kit definitely isn’t inexpensive. But it’s a fact: we think it’s worth paying a bit more for any travel set where you’re going to use every last drop, rather than buying a cheaper kit containing several products that will simply gather dust. (That’s just wasteful.)

And if these are products you’ve been wanting to experiment with, to find out if they’re worth splashing out on the full sizes, this is a great intro.

Whatever, wishing you some fabulous weekends, before summer’s out.
