Fab Find of the Week: James Read GLOW20 Facial Tan Serum

Yes, well, let’s not mention the ACTUAL weather… No chance of picking up so much as a freckle right now. (And unless you’re wearing a big hat – which we always advise when it’s not blowing an actual, um, gale – then you always will pick up a freckle, even with our recommended must-wear high SPF.)

But as we start (START!!!) to think about putting the opaque tights away and reuniting with our summer dresses, this is the moment to discover a fab new self-tanning collection from our tanmeister friend James Read. It’s clever stuff, because GLOW20 is ‘adjustable’.

You apply the lightweight GLOW20 Facial Tan Serum and remove it after 20 minutes for a light tan, 60 minutes for a medium tan and 90 minutes for a full-on, deep bronzed glow. (Which frankly might look a bit unnatural right now, What With Everything. Like the weather. And the fact we haven’t been able to go anywhere hot.)

Basically, you’re in control – and you can of course top up whenever you like, and there’s a quick blast of skin-boosting ingredients while the serum gets to work, too: hyaluronic acid and aloe vera, with vitamin C to brighten. Skin looks definitely perkier, healthier and like we’re starting to have a summer. EVEN THOUGH WE’RE NOT. (Bitter? Us?)

GLOW20 Facial Tan Serum has a ‘sister’ product, GLOW20 Tan Mousse – same ‘controllability’, also with a blend of nourishing ingredients that include avocado oil, vitamins C and E, hyualuronic acid, coconut water and honeysuckle flower extract.

TBH, we haven’t given it a go yet – but we look forward to reporting back when the climate turns more bare leg-friendly.
