Fab Find of the Week: DoSe by VH Daily Moisturiser
Over the past decade, serums have really taken centre stage in skincare. Their style of formulation quite simply means that it’s possible to concentrate higher levels of skin-boosting ingredients – to brighten, to even out skintone, to smooth fine lines and wrinkles, to tackle breakouts… whatever.
Not so long ago, then, we featured DoSe by VH’s new serum range – read the Fab Find of the Week review here. Since then, we’ve had a chance to explore this Victoria Health range in more depth, and one particular serum has risen to the top of our skin-saving charts: Egothioneine (also loved by Nigella, apparently, whose skin of course is LEGENDARILY beautiful) – an antioxidant with some pretty impressive all-round properties: really skin-quenching, antioxidant, collagen-enhancing, anti-inflammatory.
There’s some hyaluronic acid in there – partly responsible for the silky texture, we reckon – plus superoxide dismutase, an ingredient that targets uneven pigmentation related to urban pollutants. All absolutely fine and dandy on our sensitive skins, BTW. (But also fine for oily and combination complexions.)
Still, the question has been… what to apply on top? And now there’s an answer: a lightweight but delicious-textured, fragrance-free, multi-purpose, hydrating Daily Moisturiser designed to complement any and all of the DoSe by VH serums. They really do the real heavy lifting, here but nevertheless, this offers a touch more ergothioneine, plus HA, ceramides and sodium PCA.
It's great under make-up, leaves skin comfy – and (even better), like the other DoSe by VH products, is just so reasonably-priced. And whichever of their serums you pair it with, that’s your dynamic duo, sorted.
