Here’s one for all the family – or all of you with dry, itchy, annoying skin. (Also: for anyone who needs an ‘emergency slather’ when peeling off layers for the summer that has finally arrived, and your dull-looking limbs are sending out an S.O.S.)

We recently went to a Cetaphil PR day in London and deep-dived into the range, finding lots of skincare treasure – affordable treasure. Fact is, in this job, we see so much newness that it’s good to be reminded of the classics, every now and then, and that this brand in particular are experts in ‘kindness to skin’, with so much that’s suitable for sensitive and touchy types.

So, this super-affordable, luscious and pleasurable-to-use Cetaphil Moisturising Cream can be used pretty much top to toe wherever there’s a thirst for moisture. (Faces, too.) Second ingredient (after water itself) is glycerin, a brilliant humectant (moisture-attractor), while sunflower and sweet almond oil also feature on the list of ingredients. (This isn’t all-natural, NB – but it is all-effective.) It’s unscented, so it won’t clash with your fragrance – but because it adds moisture and nourishment, it will give your perfume something to ‘cling to’, so it lasts longer.

This WHACKING (and we mean HUMONGOUS) great tub is great value and will last for months and months – but smaller, travel-friendly tubes are available even more reasonably.

In other words, you can use as lavishly as you like – which is just what we’ve been doing.
