Fab Find of the Week: L'Occitane Grand Cru Immortelle Divine Cream

Ah, hello, old friend.

Beauty Bible has quite a history with this cornerstone of L'Occitane's skincare range. In fact (without blowing our trumpets TOO loudly), we were instrumental in helping to transform the perception of L'Occitane from a bath and body name into a brand equally known for its effective skincare – and it's all down to Immortelle Divine Cream

The back story is that some years ago, for our first edition of The Anti-Ageing Beauty Bible, L'Occitane submitted this product for the tough 'miracle' category in our Beauty Bible Awards – the ultimate challenge. It promptly notched up the highest score for ANY product – not just any miracle treatment! – that we'd ever had, in all our years of testing. (Which date the way back to 1996 – probably before some of you were born!)

L'Occitane then launched a global campaign to highlight the win, which saw our book given pride of place in their stores around the world (and even took Jo to Corsica, to make a little film about its 'magic' ingredient, immortelle oil, and to interview L’Occitane founder Olivier Baussan).

10 years on, this cream is as blissful to use as ever, with its wonderful aromatic scent (from that organic immortelle oil). It's just as rich, just as luscious – and having regularly made the winner board in subsequent years of testing, it remains one of the most effective products we've ever trialled, in terms of delivering results: smoother skin, finer lines and wrinkles, enhanced radiance...

So we welcome this very special 10th anniversary edition of Immortelle Divine Cream, in a special 'anniversary' gold jar, with the immortelle flowers in the formulation having been harvested from a particular piece of land set aside for the purpose.

The bottom line: new products land on the beauty shelves and new products make it to our Awards – but anything which has scored well enough to feature in the Beauty Bible Awards at any point in our long history. Only a handful, though, have ever performed as well as this...

So it's happy birthday, Immortelle Divine Cream, from Beauty Bible. You’re looking pretty good…
