Are you up for Esme’s Man-icure Challenge? We so are!
Something to brighten up what is currently a VERY dull August day!
Esme, photographed below, is just nine. She was diagnosed with leukaemia in 2021 and is currently having treatment at the Royal Marsden Hospital. As we all know, life in hospital can be very dull, so Esme – who loves to paint her own nails with sparkly shades – had the idea of giving her dad a manicure. Her dad agreed to be the guinea pig – anything to cheer his daughter up, during her chemo.
One thing led to another: Esme had the idea to set up her own ‘Man-icure challenge’, to raise money from her hospital bed for Young Lives vs Cancer.
Barry M heard about Esme’s heart-warming story and offered to design a limited edition nail colour, Esme’s Deep Marine/£3.99, from sales of which 100% of net revenue will go to the charity. (That’s everything after the VAT-man’s had his slice – or £3.33, per bottle.)
Now here’s how you can get involved.
1. Paint your nails! Go for any shade – the sparklier and brighter the better – and paint some nails. As Barry M suggest: ‘Your own, your dad’s, granddad’s, partner’s, brother’s, uncle’s, friend’s – and everyone else’s nails, too!’
2. Snap a photo! Share on social media platforms with the hashtag #esmesmanicurechallenge and tag @barrymcosmetics so that Esme and the Barry M team can see your manicures!
