Beauty Bible Weekend Steal: Rock Rose Deodorant Paste

Rock Rose is an all-natural brand based out of Hastings, where Jo lives. She’s watched them grow from tiny beginnings to a brand that recently scooped ‘Organic Skincare Brand of the Year’, in the 2022 UK Enterprise Awards.

Their latest launch taps into the trend for deodorant creams and balms, to be applied with the fingertips. It’s actually a real pleasure to give your pits some TLC in this way: the mousse-like paste, with its 100% natural, vegan formula, simply melts into skin, lightly fragrancing it with aromatic notes from pure essential oils of labdanum, cypress, lemon, patchouli, grapefruit and clary sage. (Gosh, we think it’s almost nice enough to wear as a perfume – if it just came in a more highly-scented concentration!)

We’ve certainly found it effective at dealing with underarm ‘whiff’ – and there’s an extra plus with massaging a product into the armpit: it enables us to check on an almost daily basis for lumps, which would call for a trip to the GP’s surgery as this may indicate a problem with lymph nodes.)

Deodorant pastes and balms are a world away from the pore-blocking anti-perspirants you’ll find on the high street – and some people may require a period of adjustment, as the body rebalances and detoxes. (Sweat is natural. And it’s most definitely NOT natural to block the pores.)

We think you’ll be converted.
