Scrivner for Men
We don’t often feature men’s products on this website – but we couldn’t resist, here. Scrivner for Men is an exciting innovation from therapist Jane Scrivner, whose products we’ve often written about (and whose 7 Secrets of Wellbeing you can read here).
Sleekly packaged in black, this is a capsule collection of skincare that could stop him nicking YOUR Jane Scrivner products (or indeed, anything else on your side of the bathroom shelf).
There are five steps: Nourish Enrich Cleansing Balm/£33 for 50ml, which Jane describes as Skin Clean Step #1: a rich, 85% organic balm to use before, during or post shave to rebalance serum, decongest pores and make shaving smoother and closer.
Skin Resurface Step #2 is the Daily Resurfacing AHA/BHA Acid Exfoliator/£26 for 150ml, a swipe-on tonic to remove dead skin cells featuring malic, glycolic, salicylic, citric and lactic acids, designed to be followed with Skin Hydrate Step #3. For this, Scrivner for Men offers Smoothing Hyaluronic Hydrating Gel/£32 for 50g, a super lightweight but effective moisturiser that massages brilliantly into skin, cooling post-shave and smoothing.
Skin Defence Step #4 calls for Calm Nourish Enrich Face Oil/£29 for 30ml, to boost skin’s barrier function via organic jojoba, oat and tigernut oil, gloriously fragranced with a ‘masculine’ (well, it just IS) essential oil blend featuring lime, carrot, star anise, labdanum, opopanax, mandarin and sandalwood.
Last but not least, Skin Protect Step #5 involves Oat & Argan Moisturising Cream/£27 for 50ml, to ‘lock in the nutrients’ of the regime with a fragrant skin-protective moisturiser (that essential oil blend again).
Now, we’re pretty sure that most men aren’t going to be so convinced just reading this that they’ll splash out on the whole five-product regime.
