We are entirely optimistic that the brief preview of summer that we had over the last few days is a real taste of things to come, weather-wise.

And we welcome a new product to protect our skins against that sunshine – because this is absolutely the time of year to make sure that you’ve added an SPF25 (or above) to your skincare arsenal.

Just launched, this is a really rich cream which, in our experience, also works as a brilliant and long-lasting primer for make-up. (Many SPFs, in our experience, don’t really deliver enough moisture for drier complexions like ours – but this totally does.)

From the all-natural British brand, it is organic, vegan and uses natural, mineral, non-nano-technology zinc oxide as an SPF, to shield skin against pollution and UV damage. Lots of botanicals in there, too: turmeric, bisabolol, vitamin C, plus skin-plumpers like hyaluronic acid, ceramide-rich kale, argan and pumpkin seed oils, with aloe vera and borage to calm skin. (NB It is paediatrician-approved, and safe for use on babies, as well as being reef-safe.)
