Beauty Bible Loves... Katherine Daniels Anti-Fatigue Mask

This landed on the desk at exactly the right moment, when a sniffly cold had left us looking less-than-radiant before a Big Event.

So, this tube may not LOOK like a magic wand, but it basically is one: a two-minute ‘skin resurrection’ treatment that is just the ticket for knackered skin.

We’re always up for a quick fix, and this really does work super-fast. Its secrets? A ‘Hydra-Energising Marine Complex’, for starters, with vegetal taurine (an amino acid) and carrageenan, from red algae, which ‘creates an instant firming microfilm’. Alongside circulation-revving botanicals, there’s nourishing organic sunflower oil, and organic oat sugars, which also work to form that elastic microfilm – in other words, faking a smoother surface.

The texture isn’t like most masks – almost gummy. But smooth it in, and remove two minutes later with a damp cloth, and hey, presto! Brighter, smoother skin; Katherine Daniels counsel NOT to remove with toner, or that ‘microfilm’ is removed.

It’s not a permanent effect, of course – this is not a facelift, praise be, but a face MASK – but results are visible and (in the circs) most welcome.

And one for the facial First Aid Kit, for sure.
