Beauty Bible Loves... Flora Lab Paris Strength Mask

This is a Rolls Royce of a hair mask.

Er, at a Rolls Royce price.

We wouldn’t normally do this to you. But without looking online for the price, Jo totted off with this jar to John Frieda (her forever hairdresser and destination for regular blow-dries), to put it through its paces.

The results were spectacular. Having fried her hair more than a bit on holiday in January, through repeated salty dunkings, the ends have been troublesome – despite having a couple of inches trimmed off. A day or two after washing, they’ve been frizzing again – not usually a problem, but it’s become one.

So, the lightly and delctably flower-scented Flora Lab Paris Strength Mask was left on for a deep treatment after shampooing. Instantly, hair felt silkier, but the real impact was visible after a blow dry – hair was just ultra-ultra shiny, without being soft. In fact, it felt thicker and stronger.

Fast forward a few days (Jo is one of those lucky people who can leave quite a few days between washings), and the ends were still smooth and shiny, which is  a first, post-holiday. Zero frizz. And hair felt – and feels… well, thick, smooth and lustrous is the best description. Jo had honestly thought a couple more inches of hair might have to come off, but this has made that quite unnecessary.

Who are Flora Lab Paris, anyway? A brand that believes that the scalp’s microbiome is key to strong, healthy hair, apparently. Thus, in this Strength Mask, you’ll find ‘micropeptides, ceramides and vitamins combine to restore the building blocks and elasticity of hair from within, protecting it from further damage at the same time.’

Having used it a couple of times, the benefits seem cumulative. This is a quite outstanding product… at what turned out to be one heck of a price, once Jo sat down to write this review and looked at it on the Harrods website.

But if you’re a reader who happens to drive a Bentley, an Aston Martin or a Rolls Royce – and yes, we know there are those among you who that applies to! – then honestly, this is as epic as a hair mask gets.
