Drowsy Sleep Mask
We are on a semi-permanent quest to find the ‘perfect’ sleep mask, being highly light-sensitive sleepers. But we might just stop right here, right now, with this wraparound silk option from Drowsy. (Jo has stashed hers in her suitcase, ready for travelling to hotels which often have more lights than an aircraft cockpit.)
Oh, this is GOOD. And here’s what it’s got going for it…
• It covers a lot of the face, not just the eye zone, so there’s no seepage whatsoever of light, under the mask. None. Zero. Nada.
• It’s super-comfy, because it’s squishy padded, resting lightly on the face.
• It’s soft as silk, because… well, it’s mulberry silk. (Available in a choice of colours, though ours is a beautiful, autumnal rust colour – ‘Tuscan Kiss’, they call it, but you might prefer midnight blue, oyster, sexy black…
• Secured by a Velcro strip, it stays put really well, and doesn’t seem to mess our hair as much as other masks which need to be pulled tight to keep out the light. Because of the size and shape of Drowsy, you can wear it slightly more loosely.
• £1 from the sale price goes to the charity Mind. Not a fortune, but a nice gesture.
And we’d just add this would make a GREAT gift for a sleepless friend, for Christmas. Not inexpensive – but really, what price a great night’s sleep…?
