If you were EVER in doubt about whether you need to add a primer to your make-up/skincare regime, this new launch from Charlotte Tilbury will surely persuade you.

It does everything a primer should, and more. So: it makes make-up stay on longer, which (when fleetingly we have bursts of summer weather) is a definite boon. It does indeed help minimise the appearance of pores. But what we love about this is its dewiness: it feels weightless but also deliciously, coolingly dewy when you apply – and skin remains dewy-looking (but not, somehow, over-shiny) when it has sunk in. It's powered by many different high-tech skincare ingredients, including our old friend hyaluronic acid (thus the dewy effect).

BUT the big bonus is that it features a hefty SPF50, to protect skin. We wouldn't go so far as to say it's ALL you need – you certainly will want to wear SPF on neck and décoilletage, and this might not be the right product for that – but on the face, it's a brilliant (and, yes, invisible) UVA/UVB shield, to take from hairline to jawline and under the chin, at least.
