Chanel Rouge Allure L'Extrait (Refillable)
We look forward to the day when every beauty product is refillable. (Trust us: it will come.) But even when that happens, we doubt that many will be quite as glamorous as this brand new incarnation of Chanel Rouge Allure.
It’s been slimmed-down, container-wise – but what puts a highly-pigmented smile on our lips, with this, is the refill aspect. The super-slim, almost bullet-like gold refill. You could even keep different refills on hand to click easily in and out of the swivel-up section of the lipstick, and switch them about depending on what shade you fancy.
They are all intense, in depth of colour – but 100% glamorous, each and every one, spanning lustrous beige through to a deep wine shade, and everything in between. If the full-gloss finish is too much, a dab or two applied via the end of a finger makes for a wonderful stain.
We also have to add: with generous levels flower and plant waxes, these are super-comfortable. Honestly, a texture more like a balm than a lipstick (though with such rich pigments as you’ll find in Rouge Allure L’Extrait, you definitely can’t swipe them on in the dark, as you might with a balm). They promise 12 hours of hydration, 10 hours of protection, and comfort all day long – we can’t measure the first two, but we can attest to the last.
High-voltage lamour, then, with an eco-twist. We’re so here for it.
