Beauty Bible Loves... No.1 de Chanel Massage Tool

We’re definitely feeling the love for this heart-shaped innovation from Chanel. It’s a gua sha tool, yes – we’re long-term fans of these for facial massage, to dispel fluid build-up and puffiness – but with a difference.

You may remember that the No.1 de Chanel range is the sustainably-focused collection in the brand’s line-up. Well, this scarlet tool – designed to ‘boost the effectiveness of the No.1 de Chanel Ritual’ – is created from 85% bio-based materials, including wood by-products sourced from FSC-certified sources, plus camellia husks. (The pouch is also GOTS-certified organic cotton.)

In use, it’s brilliantly de-puffing – if you know your lymphatic drainage points, even better, but we run it outwards along cheekbones and the jawline to great effect. It’s also very ‘face-waking’: an ideal jumpstart to skin first thing in the morning. (Unlike other gua sha-esque tools, there are some interesting ridges on the side; not painful, but they do seem to make it ultra-effective.)

In fact, the No.1 de Chanel Massage Tool has just one downside. IT KEEPS GOING OUT OF STOCK ON THE CHANEL WEBSITE! We actually wrote this post a month ago, only to discover that it had sold out. We queried with the PR, were told it would be back in stock next day – and now it’s only gone and sold out again. (Still, good sign, eh?)
