You spray this onto a hankie or tissue, and it works as alternative to wipes – which are bulky, and should never be flushed down a loo (‘fatbergs’ are often made up of thousands of supposedly wipes, gummed together). Instead, this turns any tissue or square of loo paper into an effective cleaner-upper, when there isn’t a basin handy. Nothing beats soap and water for hands, of course. But while hand sanitisers have become the more usual ‘on-the-go’ way of sanitising hands in the absence of running water, they don’t actually do anything to remove grime. Rub your hands together and you’re just pushing it around!
