Vote in the Soil Association BOOM Awards 2019
We’ve been devoted, dyed-in-the-soil supporters of organic food for longer than we can remember. So we’re foraging in our fridges and larders to make a short list of our favourite organic products so each family member can pick their choice to enter for this year’s BOOM (Best of Organic Market) Awards, organised by the Soil Association in partnership with Abel & Cole.
The 2019 BoomBassador is the truly wonderful and very nice Thomasina Miers, cook, writer, presenter and co-founder of Wahaca, the food chain inspired by Mexican street food. The mother of three grows her own vegetables and is a passionate advocate of organic food both for the health benefits and because organic production is so much better for the environment we live in.
So start thinking about the organic products you just cant live wihout. Could be your favourite chocolates, luscious yogurts, melt in the mouth biccies, store cupboard staples – the range is so wide now. Which is a major difference to a couple of decades back when organic was synonymous with whacky, over-priced and hard to find. Nowadays, most supermarkets offer a good choice, increasingly at competitive prices (like the great value organic eggs we bought recently in a Devon branch of Aldi).
