L’Occitane’s new face masks
This delicious duo of complexion-nourishing masks from lovely L’Occitane offers a real foodie treat for skin.
The Soothing Mask feels, smells and looks as if you’ve spread a luscious layer of creamy blackcurrant mousse on your face. We sampled it in L’Occitane’s flagship store in Regent Street, London, on a cold, windy, wet-wet-wet spring afternoon when face and spirits definitely needed a lift. And golly did it perk up both.
Now to the Purifying Mask, which is prepared with freshly cut, organic thyme from L’Occitane’s homeland in Provence. Just a word of warning: do not answer the door when you’ve applied this bright leaf green concoction – and probably make sure your spouse is not around. It made Sarah’s husband laugh so much he insisted on a photographic record. See below!)
But, like the blackcurrant soothie, this verdant formula leaves your skin looking and feeling really rather scrumptious. It’s mattifying and gently exfoliating so perfect for oily/shiny T-zones; anyone with a combination skin could put the Purifying Mask on forehead and down the centre face, with Soothing on the rest. And they’re so gentle you can use them several times a week. Perfect!
While we’re here: we urge you to visit the joyful L’Occitane Regent Street store. As well as complementary hand and arm massages (heaven!) you can book a complimentary 15-minute skincare ritual. This launches on 7th June (Friday, if you’re reading this in real-time), in the Regent Street store only. You can choose from four ranges: Hydrating, Soothing, First Signs of Ageing or Anti-ageing. After your ritual you are offered a 10% discount on any skincare products. Irresistible really.
