INIKA Organic new shades
On our first-ever book tour, many moons ago – in the nation’s Superdrug stores, as it happens – we spent half our time having to disappoint women with Asian and black skins about the appallingly slim range of shades available to them in the foundation and concealer categories.
How times have changed. Some big-name brands feature as many as 30 or more options, with something for every skintone – and the latest to acknowledge diversity is INIKA.
They’ve added new shades – Toffee NL9 and Cocoa PL10 – to their excellent Certified Organic BB Cream line-up, along with four new, deeper shades to the Baked Mineral Foundation. (In the form of a compact powder, with a useful mirror in the lid, this is much more practical to apply than loose mineral powders, we find.)
Yet more proof that the world of beauty is becoming more inclusive. 22 years too late for that book tour, but better late than never.
