When it comes to shimmer and gleam, our advice is often: 'Be Very Afraid'.

After a certain age, it can draw attention to lines and wrinkles and should be used judiciously: a touch on the brow-bone, a whisper on the centre of the eyelid (or the inner corner of the eye). None of us wants to resemble the fairy on top of the Christmas tree.

But a swoosh of shiimmer powder on any exposed limbs can be very fetching, if you are daring enough to bare skin.
