Treatments We Love: CACI Synergy Flex Facial

Face in need of TLC, after a l-o-n-g winter? We highly recommend CACI’s absolutely fabulous NEW Flex Facial, the latest iteration from this time-honoured pioneer of non-surgical face-lifts. We tried – and we were wowed…

‘Two days after having this new CACI treatment at Lisa Franklin’s Clinic Privé in London’s Knightsbridge, I looked at the areas either side of my chin above my jawline and almost gasped in disbelief. It’s these bits that really give away my age and stage, being somewhat caved in – on the verge of gaunt-looking, when I’m tired – and home to a cluster of fine lines. But the lines were almost invisible, even with specs on, and the whole area looked plump and smooth. My jawline was noticeably sharper, with the little dewlaps nearly gone.

Immediately after the blissfully relaxing one-hour treatment, the difference was noticeable – as in: my face looked younger with more defined contours and polished peachy skin. Which was, perhaps surprisingly given the lavish amount of unguents used, a perfect base for make-up. (Very little needed.) But I wasn't prepared for the improvements to go on and indeed increase.

It’s now seven days on and the pleasing effects are still evident, although I think slowly on the wane. In an ideal world I would be having two CACI Synergy Flex Facial treatments a week for five to seven weeks, then one a month for maintenance. Sadly, that’s impossible logistically but I plan to invest in as many as possible – because they’re so worth it.

Talk about tried and tested and time-honoured: CACI is celebrating its 33rd anniversary this month (March 2025). Arguably the pioneer of non-surgical face-lifts, CACI treatments were always effective – either as a one-off before a special occasion, or as a course - but honestly, this Flex Facial, activated by the Synergy Flex system, is absolutely fabulous.

The face magic is down to sophisticated microcurrent technology, stimulating the facial muscles to get to work in tandem with LED light therapy to lift the jawline. Then – and this is the most intriguing part – marrying gua sha (the ancient Chinese contouring ritual performed with a shaped jade, rose quartz or amethyst tool) with microcurrent. This is delivered by pairs of roller and lifting tools, which contour and sculpt the face. That quite long sequence also promotes lymphatic drainage, boosts circulation and reduces puffiness.

I do a few minutes of gua sha every morning on top of a balm cleanser for slip, and credit it with helping to keep my face from slipping and dipping and sagging too far. But this microcurrent version is in a different realm of effectiveness, as well as being deliciously and delightfully relaxing.

Finally, on goes a new Microcurrent Energising Mask. This sheet mask is printed with silver conductive electronic circuit. When activated by the Synergy Flex system, your whole face is flooded with microcurrent energy, which helps to stimulate blood flow, support repair and increase cell turnover – so it’s good for scars, blemishes, pigmentation – as well as plumping lines and wrinkles.

Sounds a lot, doesn’t it? And of course, everyone’s skin is different. But based on my trial experience I really do recommend it highly.
