Fab Find of the Week: Roger & Gallet Soap Trio tins
There’s no greater small pleasure than a new bar of beautifully fragrant soap.
Except… when it’s three bars.
We’ve known these gorgeous tins of Roger & Gallet soap were in the pipeline, and are happy to report: they just landed at the excellent website The French Pharmacy, here (a great site for stocking up on all those brands that you’d find when on holiday or business on the other side of the Channel).
Roger & Gallet soaps are almost life-long favourites of ours (Jo bought her first bar on a French exchange in Paris, aged thirteen): gorgeous scents, kind-to-skin soaps, and so prettily wrapped in tissue. (We store ours in the lingerie drawer before use, and they perfume our smalls very effectively.)
There are three tins available, each containing three soaps…
The Flower Power Trio – for the garden/cut flower-lover, the three soaps are Fleur d’Osmantus (an almost apricot-y scent, also with mandarin and smoochy amber), Fleur de Figuier (cool, fresh) and Lavande Royale, which is really rather like sticking your nose in a lavender bush, but not at all grandma-y.
Then there’s the rosy one – which we know Beauty Bible readers will adore – The Pink Love Trio, with Rose (pure Damascena rose, with a touch of muskiness), Feuille de Thé (airy Ceylon tea, paired with Calabrian lemon), and Rose Thé (or tea rose), and fresh and almost citrusy rose.
And last but not least, The Fresh Wood Trio – our favourite, actually, in terms of our personal fragrance preference (but it IS always very personal), as it features Jo’s all-time favourite-ever soap, Bois de Santal (sandalwood), together with fresh, aromatic Cédrat (notes of basil, thyme and cardamom among the citrus), and Bois d’Orange – all juicy citruses, with a hint of patchouli. (We’re really keen on this oe, too.)
Ideal for gifting. (Quite possibly as a gift to you.)
