Fab Find of the Week: Molton Brown Jubilant Pine & Patchouli Limited Edition
Confession time: we are not ALWAYS a fan of Christmassy smells. Not big on the massive overdoses of orange and cinnamon which seem to characterise many ‘seasonal’ scents. And pine creations…? Well, if not done well, they’re a bit loo cleaner-esque, no…?
But THIS…! Oh, it’s glorious. Just Christmassy enough, but also super-sophisticated, forest-y and seductive, with enough pine to make it feel seasonal, but understatedly so. There are amber-y, suede notes in there, with a breath of vanilla and musk alongside the patchouli. Imagine yourself snuggled up under a huge rug on the back of a sleigh, being drawn by reindeer through the silent forest. Honestly the image this conjures up: cosy-but-chic…
Jo so fell in love with it when doing a bit of Covent Garden mooching at the Molton Brown boutique that she bought first the hand lotion, and is now yearning for a full-size fragrance, having somehow found herself drifting back to the store two or three times, to veil herself in this.
