Fab Find of The Week: Kiss My Lips by Solange

Just in time for Valentine’s, Galentine’s – or that day when you treat yourself to something fabulous BECAUSE YOU’RE WORTH IT. (You really are, you know.)

Über-jeweller Solange Azagury’s new Kiss My Lips eau de parfum just landed on our desks and – well, it’s a love thing. And how could Beauty Bible resist a fragrance for which the spray is…a pair of red lips? (Based on the design of one of Solange’s iconic designs, the Classic Hotlips Ring.

Fabulous packaging aside, it’s the scent which has us tingling. Almost literally. There’s a fizz and a pop to the juice: a sugary, sherbet-y opening, fresh with lemon, grapefruit rind and Sicilian bergamot.

Then softly fruity notes, in the heart: raspberry and orange flower, giving way to Atlas cedarwood, shot throughout with a sugared orange vibe. Sounds too girly, for grown-ups like us? Actually, it’s super-sophisticated – and we weren’t at all surprised to discover that the perfumer is Lyn Harris, of Perfumer H, one of the UK’s leading perfumers and probably the deftest ‘nose’ that we know, when it comes to citrus notes.

All swirled together to evoke ‘a happy summer’s day full of sunshine, sugar, spice and all things nice.’ And it delivers exactly that.
