Fab Find of the Week: Green People One Balm

GREEN_PEOPLE_MAIN.jpg

Who isn’t looking to streamline their beauty regime, after this year…?

Almost nobody we know.

Well, this is a great place to start: Green People One Balm is a multi-tasking balm that works on lips, as a face protector, to smooth heels, nourish cuticles, soften elbows and oh, probably a dozen other ideas we haven’t tried out yet. (You could definitely use it for cleansing, with a muslin cloth – but this is a small pot, so that would work out pricy, over time.)

It’s gorgeously though subtly scented – think: rather seasonally appropriate frankincense and myrrh (the latter is also anti-inflammatory), with nourishing and regenerative rosehip and pomegranate oils, in the base.

But what also makes this super-interesting to us is the packaging itself. We’re used to outer cartons being recyclable now (and shame on any beauty brand which hasn’t got with the programme on THAT one), but what sets this apart is that the tub for the pot will also decompose in your compost heap, over time.

It’s made from wood and plant polymers that break down in soil, leaving absolutely zero trace of microplastics behind. In fact, the wood comes from sawdust which would otherwise be thrown away. Clever stuff.

Balm for skin, balm for the soul, balm for the planet. Literally.
