Fab Find of the Week: GAIA Skincare newness

If you’ve been reading BeautyBible.com for a while, you’ll remember that we’ve been massive fans of GAIA Skincare’s sense-awakening creations since they first launched, some years ago. Created for the stunning spa at Plymouth’s Boringdon Hall, they’re now much more widely available.

If you’re a more recent follower…? You’re in for a treat: this is a range that honestly never disappoints – if that’s possible, we’re bigger fans than ever, as the range expands – so we were thrilled to discover GAIA’s recent launches, which we’re sharing with you here.

Awakening Candle/£25. GAIA’s Awakening blend is the very embodiment of a ‘spa’ scent, for us, with its notes of geranium and lemongrass, faithfully expressed in this all-natural soya and sustainably-sourced palm wax candle, infused with organic essential oils. The bamboo lid – a signature of GAIA’s packaging – keeps the wax clean (scented candles are a veritable magnet for dust). We’re burning this in the office, where extra awakening is always welcome, but it’s also available as a Calming option, here (think: lavandin, vetiver, cinnamon, marjarom); Very reasonably-priced for a scented candle, too, considering the 200g candle has a burn time of 25-30 hours.

Awakening Cream Deodorant/£20 for 50g. Same scent as above – a wonderful wake-up call for the senses, in the morning, and gentle on skin.

Gaia Strengthening Pulse Point/£15 for 15ml. We were particularly enjoying this in recent weeks as winter dragged on f-o-r-e-v-e-r: a supportive blend of ginger, black pepper, bergamot, grapefruit, rosemary and ylang ylang essential oils, designed to enhance focus and reduce stress. The bamboo rollerball is truly cute and handbag-friendly – frankly, a lot more tacticle and pleasing to the senses than most.

Naturally Eye Cream/£35 for 20g. The newest addition to GAIA’s core skincare line-up, a cooling, hydrating and soothing-feeling cream that is specifically designed to reduce skin inflammation. Coconut oil, jojoba oil and rosewater feature: it’s light yet rich, and just lovely. Too soon to report on long-term benefits, but short-term? Nicely de-puffing.

Incidentally, we’re not surprised that GAIA’s range is now being used for treatments across an increasingly wide network of spas, aside from their own. We’d certainly be swayed to book a treatment by seeing Gaia’s facials and body treatments on the menu – pretty much anywhere. For locations, simply click here.
