Fab Find of the Week: Beata Masterclasses

Madonna. Cher. Adèle. There are some names that don’t need a surname. And in beauty circles, Beata is one of those superstars: a facialist with a six-month waiting, and a raft of high-profile devotees.

Beata’s facials aren’t the usual kind. You won’t get slathered in lots of masks, or have your comedones extracted. But the reason so many people beat a path to Beata’s (Notting Hill) door is her face-lifting technique. Normally, you’d sign up for a course of six; Jo had one, and in the next week (we kid you not), two people asked if she’d had Botox. To which the answer was firmly: ‘NO! But I’ve been to Beata.’

But cleverly, wanting to share her technique as widely as possible – not least to those who can’t get to her London studio, never mind those who don’t want to join a six-month waitlist – Beata (also known as ‘The Face Whisperer’) has created a series of online Masterclasses, to share her Face Therapy concept.

The Face Massage with Beata Masterclasses offers us a series of easy-to-follow online facial massage techniques to lift and tone – but they’re more than that. Each also includes mindfulness exercises and breathing techniques, with a little bit of spiritual guidance thrown in, as she puts it, ‘to foster love, self-appreciation and warmth.’ In person, if you ever get to see her, Beata is intuitive, and a very calming presence. (Jo would love to tell you what happened during her treatment, but dozed through it. Looking in the mirror, however, there were clearly magic wands wafted at her face!)

The subject matter for each individual class is as follows: Lymphatic Drainage Masterclass No1 – lymphatic drainage techniques for a radiant and uplifted complexion.

Lymphatic Drainage Masterclass No 2 – lymphatic drainage techniques for a radiant and uplifted complexion.

Almighty Apple Cheeks – facial massage secrets to lift and tone the cheeks and define the contours of the face.

Redefined Jawline – techniques to tone and enhance the jawline for a lifted vibrant facial appearance.

Swan Neck – secrets for a long, smooth and toned neck.

Fullsome Lips – massage secrets to smooth time lines around the mouth and boost the lips.

Uplifted Forehead – face techniques to lift, open, relax and firm muscles and skin of the forehead

Eyes Wide Open – massage techniques to wake-up tired eyes, reducing fine lines and puffiness.

She uses almost no product in her treatments, meanwhile, except perhaps a drop of Beata’s Facial Oil/£45 for 30ml, which we featured as an earlier Fab Find of the Week, here.

These are very much NOT five-minute ‘TikTok' fixes’ – and hallelujah for that. To quote this extraordinary therapist, ‘There are so many great techniques for face massage that address specific issues or concerns. I wanted to share them with you to encourage you to try this most natural way of taking care of your face. This is also time for you to learn how to slow down, how to be more loving towards yourself how to connect with the face in gentle way.

Masterclasses are interactive and we do all the techniques together, giving you the chance to really learn each of them, to feel and see the benefit. Although they address specific areas of the face, they all have a strong message about letting go of any self-criticism and focusing on giving yourself all the love and care that you need and truly discover the uniqueness of your own face and its beauty.’

All of which is just SO in line with our own thinking, of course.

Classes are priced £35 individually, or a bundle of eight for £200 – and of course, you can gather a group together and do the classes with friends.

And it’s not everyday you have a superstar in your living room…
