Fab Find of the Week: Liz Earle Superskin Advanced

It’s a l-o-n-g time since we’ve shared something so exciting from Liz Earle skincare, so this is big news – familiar fragrances, but turbo-charged ingredients to help with skin firmness.

We just got to try the trio, and we’re impressed. So, taking it from the top…

Liz Earle Superskin Advanced Nourishing Cleansing Balm. If you like a balm-style cleanser, we’d put money on you absolutely loving this – because we do. With the perfect not-too-runny, not-too-stiff balm texture, it melts make-up gorgeously; emulsify with a touch of water and remove with the flannel. Yes, flannel! Liz Earle may have transformed the way we cleanse, popularising the muslin cloth (which was actually the technique pioneered by Eve Lom, BTW), but this time there’s a flannel. Happens to be our favourite technique for removal, so we approve of that. And the scent? Posh spa-y, and very Liz Earle.

Liz Earle Superskin Advanced Firming Serum-in-Moisturiser. Again, luscious. Ideal for dry skins like ours, which are lapping this up. (That description - ‘serum-in-moisturiser’ – absolutely nails it, as there’s great slip but also terrific moisturising power, down to rosehip oil and acacia tree extract (apparently a plant alternative to collagen). We’d quite like a vat of this for the body, please!

Last but not least, Liz Earle Superskin Advanced Bi-Phase Brightening Essence, which preps skin for the moisturiser and is boosted by cranberry seed, acacia tree and pomegranate extracts. Definitely NOT a toner, it’s moisturising and plumping in its own right (but we’d still layer the serum-moisturiser over the top).
