Fab Find of the Week: Erborian Centella Cleansing Oil and Cleansing Gel

Right now we’re all about sweeping the yard, Hoovering down the back of the sofa and washing the windows (gosh, what a difference that makes). And we’re looking for products that do that, on a skincare level, too. It is time to banish the cobwebs, metaphorically and in reality.

So: we’re pleased to welcome a new cleansing duo from Erborian, perfect for a Korean-style double-cleanse. It’s based around the botanical Centella Asiatica, which is known for its soothing action – and thus, these are really effective but also wonderfully gentle.

The idea is they can be used together, but each works well in its own right, if you’re someone who likes a cleansing oil or a lightly foaming wash. If double-cleansing nightly is too much of a faff (it is for us), a couple of times a week is perfect.

Centella Cleansing Oil is wonderfully emulsifying, literally melting make-up. It offers great slip for a deep facial massage (which is what we like to do, at night), is especially good for getting rid of dead skin cells and general crud around the nose, brilliant for dissolving long-wear make-up, and transforms to a milk when you add water, to be swished away.

Centella Cleansing Gel is lightweight, skin-friendly, doesn’t upset even our sensitive/dry skins, and if you’re a gel cleanser fan, this is gorgeous. Both cleansers smell fresh but also very lightly floral (we’re getting lotus, here!), which makes them a joy to use – and we know that when you love using a product, that’s when it really comes into its own because you’ll use it diligently.
