Davines The Circle Chronicles

It may sound like a family saga but The Circle Chronicles by Davines is actually a new collection of hair masks from a perfectly wonderful Italian haircare company.

Jo and Sarah found themselves together up at the flagship Davines salon in Covent Garden, London (very much worth a visit, BTW) for a demo of these new products.  And were both very impressed.

The point is that - like the new trend in skincare masking - these are designed for multi-masking – on the premise that, for instance, dry splits ends will need different TLC to hair nearer the scalp.

Sarah's longer mane was, as usual in the chilly months, a bit dry all over – worse at the ends, a tad frizzy, several degrees below par shine-wise. Fab stylist and hair-caretaker Gianna Poullou prescribed The Spotlight Circle, for shine and brightness plus nourishment, and The Renaissance Circle, to revive processed (e.g. coloured) hair.

After shampooing, Gianna applied them in different areas as needed and left them to 'cook' for ten minutes, before rinsing.  The results were – sorry to brag – really a bit sensational.

The five-strong collection also offers The Wake Up Circle, a violet-coloured mask to put back the oomph into scalp and hair that’s just had a bit too much to cope with, like a long trip or stress of some kind. The Purity Circle does what it sounds like – detoxes scalp impurities caused by atmospheric pollution especially from city living.

And finally The Quick Fix Circle – and we don't know a woman who doesn't need that. This delivers express moisturisation and soft shining manageable hair in just three minutes, whizzing you straight into a Very Good Hair Day.

Be gone dull hair! Enter super-shiny, swooshy, bouncy locks that looked truly glorious. We're sold on The Circle Chronicles by Davines – which are delightfully packaged too.

As they say in the blurb, ‘customisable hair mask must-haves to suit your mane mood…!’
