Cowshed Multitask Kahai Wonder Balm

Oh, thank heavens for that.

Cowshed have ditched the somewhat silly names of their collections: Knackered Cow, Moody Cow, etc. They never, in our opinion, did justice to what are actually some excellent products, which we’re sure grown-up beauty-lovers probably dismissed.

Now those aromatherapeutic lines have names and descriptions that tell you what they do: Uplifting, Calming, Bracing, Restoring, Comforting and Invigorating. They’ve also had a stylish makeover – and if you like a particular product, you’ll be pleased to know the bath collection now comes in 500ml giant sizes. Saving money, and time spent having to replenish your supplies.

Our favourite in the range right now, though, is the sort of multi-tasking product that comes into its own right now, when the central heating’s coming on. (At least occasionally. Yesterday morning, for example, albeit briefly.

Deeply nourishing Multitask Kahai Wonder Balm is a balm-to-oil product, infused with gorgeous notes of rose and jasmine which are a treat for the senses, while you apply it as a treat for your skin. You could pretty much use this as a desert island product – all you need for massaging away make-up, for use as an overnight mask, to moisturise any dry bits (even, we’re told, to seal split ends). Key ingredient is kahai (a.k.a. ‘cacay’), which has high levels of natural retinol – three times as much as rosehip oil – and 50% more vitamin E than argan.

Cowshed Multitask Kahai Wonder Balm comes in two sizes, including a great travel-sized intro pot for just £12, so you can decide whether you like it.

Nothing silly about that.
