Charlotte Tilbury Goddess Cleansing Ritual

DAAAAHLINGS, as our old friend Charlotte Tilbury would say, this really is something rather HEAVENLY…

A new ‘double-cleansing’ product from the make-up diva, it’s actually probably more intended for combination and oilier complexions than our mature and dry skins, targeting deep-set impurities with ingredients like charcoal and bamboo.

But you know what? This is just the ticket for us, too – particularly after a day in grubby old London, after which we are constantly astonished at how much grime and gunks comes off our faces.

It’s a two-step delight. First up is Citrus Oil Radiance Cleanse (you don’t need a degree in astrophysics to figure out: that’s the yellow one). Zestily citrus-scented balm, it’s powered by vitamin C, softening bacuri butter, Inca Inchi oil and Kalahari watermelon seed oil, its upliftingly fresh scent coming from lemon, bergamot and rose oils. You ‘steam-clean’ the face to remove this by pressing the muslin cloth, steeped in hot water, onto skin, before sweeping away. It takes make-up with it beautifully (though we’d always use a targeted make-up remover for the eyes – and Charlotte’s is one of our faves).

Then follow by the second step. Before we used this, we thought the Purifying Charcoal Cleanse might be a bit gritty and grainy, but in fact, it’s wonderfully slippy and soft, perfect for massaging the mixture of bamboo charcoal and Nordic beauty peat (which can help balance skin’s pH) into the complexion. The scent is slightly subtler, but similar to the Citrus Oil Radiance Cleanse. You remove it with the muslin cloth and swoosh away the last traces. The result is skin that’s really and truly cleansed, yet comfy with it.

Are we goddesses yet? Ummmm… But we’re GORGEOUSLY clean, DAAAAHLINGS.
