Beauty Bible Weekend Steal: SenSpa bodycare
The wonderful SenSpa collection just got a beautiful and contemporary new 'look', for the first time in years. But #TBH it constantly amazes us that this brand (which has in the past done very well in the Beauty Bible Awards) is not on EVERYONE's radar.
It's INCREDIBLE value, almost all-natural (no parabens, silicones, animal ingredients, mineral oil or SLS), vegan-friendly, smells truly, properly aromatherapeutic – these blends are as accomplished as some we could name (and indeed often do), at five times the price – and above all, really a joy to use.
Vegan-friendly, the products are born out of the spa at Careys Manor, a luxury hotel in Hampshire, echoing their therapeutic approach. They're exclusive to Waitrose (including online and for home delivery), but also found on the senspa.co.uk website, as well as in the spa itself.
Honestly, we love it all. But if we had to pick a top three, they would be...
SenSpa Deeply Nourishing Hair and Scalp Masque/£6.95 for 200ml. Gosh, this smells DIVINE, and leaves hair swingy and super-shiny, infused with that glorious scent, which is from essential oils jasmine, ylang ylang and cedarwood. Coconut oils and Abyssinian oils feature, along with Thai basil and lava clay – but don't be put off by the idea that this is drying on the hair; au contraire.
SenSpa Nourishing Body Butter/£6.95 for 200ml. Start slathering skin with this now, to counter the wicking effect of winter clothing as it touches your body. Just blissful to use, with argan and coconut oils, shea and cocoa butters, and another lush essential oil blend, in this case ylang ylang, cedarwood and geranium. (We are truly hard-pushed to tell you which of the SenSpa fragrances we enjoy the most.)
SenSpa Reviving Bath Soak/£5.95 for 250ml. Just the ticket after a day's gardening or a long Sunday yomp, this has SenSpa's signature blend of nine essential oils that smell – well, just perfectly spa-y. (Think: rosemary, lavender, geranium, litsea cubeba, bergamot, lime, tea tree, . ) The lightly foaming blend has seaweed, marine extracts and Dead Sea salts, and we find it non-drying to skin, unlike some bath soaks.
We honestly don't know how SenSpa do it, for the price. But we're glad that they do.
