Alexandra Kay Time to Ease and Time to Soothe Body Oils
The Alexandra Kay wellbeing collection was created in collaboration with Green People – and there’s an utterly poignant story behind this range. Alexandra was the daughter of Green People founder Charlotte Vøhtz, and sadly died in 2021, after being diagnosed with EDS (Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome), a group of rare inherited conditions that affect connective tissue.
Last autumn, we shared with you our love for the Alexandra Kay Time To Inhale Handheld Diffuser /£20, you can read here. But this has been followed up with the launch of two beautiful body oils, designed to transport us to a comforting, relaxing place (and we’re all in need of that, no?)
Time to Soothe is a natural, unscented body oil with a nurturing blend of active plant extracts like hemp and rosehip with a unique active called CB2-Skin Biofunctional to soothe and calm the skin. This body oil can also be blended with the Alexandra Kay Essential Oils, for your own custom blend.
Time to Ease, meanwhile, is the ultimate muscle relaxer for the body. This natural herbal blend contains a contrasting blend of oils: eucalyptus and peppermint are cooling, while the blend gathers warming heat from black pepper and ginger root oil to help relieve unwanted aches, pains and restore tired muscles.
Both oils can be used when aches and pain interrupt your sleep, after exercise – or alternatively if you need that extra help to awaken the muscles in the morning.
In memory of Alexandra, Green People has partnered with The Ehlers-Danlos Support UK to raise awareness of the condition, with a share of profits going to their work; if you have a Green People account, you can also donate ‘points’ to the charity, while anyone can simply help raise awareness about the organisation; for more, click here.
And as ever, we love it when beauty gives back.
