Beauty Bible Loves... Weleda Pomegranate Regenerating Body Butter
There are lots of reasons to love this new addition to Weleda’s richest (in texture) range.
First up, its truly luscious texture, a blend of shea and cocoa butter along with pomegranate seed oil and nourishing safflower seed oil. This makes for a truly creamy feel, yet it’s easy to massage into skin with no rubbing required. The result? A velvety finish and (from the inside-out) a comfortable feel.
Second, the results. A couple of weeks’ of using Weleda Pomegranate Regenerating Body Butter, and skin definitely seems less crêpe-y. That might be down to diligent use (because it’s a pleasure), or the cell-renewing effects of the botanicals, like the upcycled pomegranate extract, which is rich in protective polyphenols, or our old friend Centella Asiatica. Can’t be sure.
Thirdly… the scent! And here’s the thing: with its notes of orange, davana and vanilla, it subtly reminds us of Guerlain Shalimar. They don’t make a body cream of their own, so we’re sure they won’t mind us mentioning this, but there are real resonances in the scent of this relatively affordable body product of that luxurious and fabled fragrance – one that we truly love, for its powdery perfection. Layered under that fragrance – one which comes out of summer hibernation, around now – it’s absolutely divine, but also a very gorgeous, boudoir-ish scent, on its own.
Meanwhile, in the unlikely event that we can be persuaded to peel off any layers of clothing in the upcoming months, at least we know our bodies are that bit more bareable.
