WeDO/ Professional Moisturising Night Cream

This isn’t just another night cream. This is a night cream FOR HAIR. Because why ever not? Particularly at this time of year, when there’s a wonderful, brief opportunity to tackle any summer hair damage – if you were lucky enough to be able to expose your hair to sun, chlorine and sea salt, that is – and the moment when the central heating goes on again, and starts to sap any remaining life out of hair.

If you haven’t heard of them yet, WeDO/ Professional is an interesting new haircare line, the ‘sustainable’ venture from renowned haircare pros Wella. For anyone who thinks big business is intrinsically ‘bad’ and small start-ups ‘good’, the truth is that most global names are on a speeded-up sustainability journey, in response to pressure from consumers (and editors like us). WeDO/ is a perfect example of what can be done. Small brands – and we love them – can make a small (but still important) difference. Big brands can change things FAST.

Beyond formulas which are relatively simple and sulfphate/silicone-free, vegan and certified cruelty-free, WeDO/‘s packaging is part-recycled and fully recycleable, PLUS the brand has partnered with Plastic Bank so that for each bottle sold, eight plastic bottles will be removed from the environment, helping to fight the eight million tones that make their way into the oceans each year. 

The 97% natural ingredients in WeDO/ Professional Nourishing Night Cream include luscious cupuacu butter. It’s not over-heavy, and our tip is to rub into palms and work lightly through hair, for an overnight boost; of course you could wash it out in the a.m, but we don’t find that’s necessary and that the formula has all but ‘disappeared’, while leaving hair silkier and softer. The scent, like that of everything in the range, is lightly fruity and fresh, but not overwhelming.
