TRUE Certified Organic Rejuvenating Cacay & Frankincense Facial Oil

We get feedback that so many facial oils seem CRAZILY expensive – beyond many people’s budget.

But there’s one brand which, somehow, manages to produce facial oils that are both affordable and effective, as well as being certified organic by the Soil Association to COSMOS standards.

TRUE was started by Emma Thornton, whose range is now at Holland & Barrett, Boots and Ocado, as well as on her own trueskincare.co.uk website.

We’ve written about TRUE before, but we are truly enjoying the latest innovation in their oil line-up – Cacay & Frankincense Facial Oil. It’s targeted at mature skins, with the frankincense (renowned as an age-defying ingredient) blended with two other key oils, antioxidant rich blackcurrant seed oil and cacay seed oil. We’ve seen this turn up in a few products, lately – an Amazonian oil that naturally contains vitamin A and linolenic acid, helping to boost cell turnover and reduce the appearance of fine lines.

The dropper-applied blend is light and sinks in fast, in contrast to some facial oils which are heavy and claggy (especially in this ‘age-defying’ territory). We’ve used it on its own, with a serum and also layered with a cream for extra moisture – and enjoyed every permutation.

We’re not sure how Emma manages to produce these oils, at such a relatively accessible price. But when it comes to everything we’ve tried from TRUE, we’re truly impressed.
